• Shikhandin is the pen name of an Indian writer who writes for both adults and children. Her published works include Immoderate Men and Vibhuti Cat. Her poetry and prose have appeared in publications and anthologies in India and abroad, and she has received recognition in several literary competitions in India and internationally.

Impetuous Women brings together a diverse group of stories centred on women who step beyond the boundaries prescribed for them. The characters include housewives caught in dangerous games of social competition, women seeking revenge, teachers and wardens dealing with complicated relationships, couples looking for privacy and women confronting difficult truths about themselves and others.
