The book traces the couple’s journey from Sarnath to Lumbini, Bodhgaya, Kudan, and other important Buddhist sites, combining travel, history, art, and personal reflection.

Bharath Murthy is a filmmaker and comics author. He studied painting and film direction and has taught film direction at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune.

After embracing Buddhism as a lay practitioner, Bharath Murthy travelled with his wife through India and Nepal to explore places connected with the Buddha’s life. Through illustrations and narration, the book documents the landscapes, ruins, people, and traces of a disappearing historical past.
