Vivek Narayanan is an Indian poet and writer. His first book, Universal Beach, was published in 2006. He has been a Fellow at the Radcliffe Institute at Harvard University and a Cullman Fellow at the New York Public Library. He is also known for his experimental engagement with Valmiki's Ramayana.

Life and Times of Mr S uses experimental poetry to question the nature of reality and identity. Narayanan moves through themes such as class, caste, family and social identity, creating a world where identities can be multiple, fluid and uncertain.
