M. K. Ranjitsinh is an Indian wildlife conservationist and former civil servant. He joined the IAS in 1961 and played a major role in shaping India's wildlife policies. He was a principal architect of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972, was involved with Project Tiger, and worked on the conservation of several endangered species.
