The novel follows archaeologist Tara Singh as she investigates the ruins around Khajuraho. Her fascination with the Chandela period becomes reality when a mysterious tantric sends her back to 1022 CE.
In the medieval kingdom, Tara encounters King Vidyadhara and becomes immersed in a world of royal intrigue, history, romance and danger. While searching for a way back to the present, she begins to question the purpose of her journey through time and the secrets she is meant to uncover.
