Reporting India: My Seventy-year Journey as a Journalist

• Prem Prakash takes readers behind the scenes of his work as a photographer, film cameraman and journalist. His career brought him face-to-face with major events including the 1962 Indo-China War, the 1965 and 1971 wars with Pakistan, the Emergency, the assassination of Indira Gandhi and the liberation of Bangladesh.

Prem Prakash is a veteran Indian journalist who reported on major events across the Indian subcontinent from the 1950s to the turn of the century. He worked with international broadcasters and was involved in establishing Visnews in London. He later helped establish ANI and has interacted with and interviewed several Indian prime ministers.

The book combines personal memoir with a vivid record of Indian history. Prakash recalls his experiences covering wars, political crises, natural disasters and major national events, providing readers with a journalist's firsthand perspective on how India changed over seven decades.
