The One That Got Away

Shyamita and Jai were inseparable in school, but life takes them in different directions. When they meet again at a wedding, their familiar friendship is mixed with attraction, irritation and unresolved emotions. The story explores whether their past connection can become a lasting relationship.

Priyanka Menon is an Indian romance writer, spoken-word poet and lecturer in advertising and English literature. She developed a passion for romance novels as a teenager and draws inspiration from both classic and contemporary romantic fiction. She lives in Pune.

Shyamita and Jai were best friends during their school years, sharing lunches, movies and study sessions. As they grow older, they drift apart and lose contact.
