OVERVIEW

The book plots the continuous evolution of an author searching for a raw artistic form that can do justice to a chaotic reality. Deeply influenced by French filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard, the text utilizes intense montage and complex cinematic techniques instead of straightforward narratives

Meet the Author

Subimal Misra (1943–2023) was an iconic, fiercely independent master of contemporary Bengali literature, best known for his avant-garde, anti-institutional stance. His translator, V. Ramaswamy, is a noted literary translator who has spent years bringing Misra's highly challenging, experimental works to the English-reading world. [1]
