Krishna

The story follows Krishna from his birth to his years as a cowherd in Gokula, where he performs extraordinary deeds, protects the community and faces dangerous adversaries. It later moves to Mathura, where Krishna and Balarama confront Kamsa and bring an end to his tyranny.

Anant Pai, popularly known as Uncle Pai, was an Indian educationalist and the creator and editor associated with the Amar Chitra Katha series. His work helped bring Indian mythology, folklore, history and traditional stories to generations of young readers.

Krishna tells the story of Krishna’s miraculous birth and his childhood adventures. Raised by Nanda and Yashoda in Gokula, Krishna plays the flute, performs remarkable feats and defeats dangerous creatures and enemies. Eventually, he travels to Mathura with Balarama, defeats Kamsa and restores the throne to Kamsa’s father.
