Terminal 3: A Graphic Novel Set in Kashmir

Debasmita Dasgupta is an internationally published illustrator, graphic novelist and screenwriter. She has illustrated more than twenty picture books, comics and poems for children and young adults and has worked with publishers and organizations around the world. Her work has also been featured internationally through exhibitions and animated storytelling projects.

Khwab Nazir is at Terminal 3 of New Delhi International Airport, preparing to travel for an international jiu-jitsu tournament where she will represent India. As she waits for her flight, memories take her back to Kashmir and the complicated experiences that shaped her life.

Her story moves between the present and the past, exploring happiness and emptiness, desire and grief, struggle and hope. Against the backdrop of conflict in the Valley, Khwab's journey becomes a portrait of ordinary Kashmiri people who continue to pursue their dreams and imagine a more peaceful future.
